Maeve Kerrigan is one of the few women detectives in an elite murder squad with the London Metropolitan Police. A police officer is discovered shot to death in his car in a London park. Soon there are others, and it becomes clear there is a cop killer on the loose.
This is the fifth Maeve Kerrigan novel by Casey. They are all extremely well written, with a strong protagonist, and engaging secondary characters.
Casey brings back a few plot points from the previous books. You can read this as a stand alone novel, without feeling that you're missing anything, but you are. The other Maeve Kerrigan novels are not to be missed.
